Staff Profiles

MaryValerie Reeves

MaryValerie graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree.  She entered the accounting profession right out of college as a junior auditor with the Houston office of Fox and Company, a second-tier national accounting.  While at Fox and Company, MaryValerie worked in both the audit and tax departments and assisted with litigation research.  She worked with clients who were small busines owners, partnerships, and professionals in the retail, transportation, and health care industries.

After pubic accounting, MaryValerie worked at the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport starting in the internal audit department and was then asked to transfer to the finance department in Capital Budgeting and then to accounting to improve the department’s processes.  Her experience during her sixteen years at D/FW included positions of Senior Internal Auditor, Capital Budget Administrator, Quality Control Administration, General Accounting Manager, and Rates, Fees, and Charges Administrator.  MaryValerie also served as the Finance Director for a small staffing company in Bedford, Senior Auditor for AAA Texas, and Senior Auditor for Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC., before starting her own public accounting firm.

MaryValerie is a certified public accountant licensed in Texas, certified management accountant, and certified internal auditor.  She is active in the Institute of Management Accountants in the local, state, and Global Levels and previously served as both a deacon and elder of her church and chairman of the Finance Committee.  MaryValerie is currently the President of the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society (SCMS) and a Director on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).  IMA is the Global Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business.
